When you compare quotations for corporate gifts or promotional giveaways, price is only one line. Two suppliers can quote the same item and deliver very different results: a logo that peels after a month, a box that arrives a day after the event, or an invoice your finance team cannot accept.
These are the eight questions procurement and marketing teams in Egypt should ask any supplier before placing an order, with the answers Kaizen gives to each one.
1. Is it a registered company with formal paperwork?
Ask for the commercial register and tax card, and a formal written quotation on company letterhead. Banks, ministries and multinationals usually cannot add a supplier to their vendor list without them.
Kaizen: registered in Egypt since 2016, with a commercial register and tax card, and formal written quotations for every request.
2. Do they produce, or only resell?
A supplier that brands items in its own workshop controls quality and timing. One that sends every order to a third party has less control over both.
Kaizen: our own offset and digital press in Nasr City, Cairo, and a workshop for printing, engraving, packing and quality checks.
3. Can you see the result before production?
You should never approve a large order from a catalogue photo alone.
Kaizen: a free mockup of your logo on the chosen items for approval, then a branded sample before mass production. The cost of the sample is stated in the quotation.
4. How fast do they reply?
A slow quotation is usually a sign of a slow order.
Kaizen: a written quotation within 24 hours, with options for your budget.
5. Can they meet a tight date?
Ask which items can be produced quickly and from which point the clock starts.
Kaizen: most branded giveaways are ready in 1 to 3 days, depending on the product and quantity, from a minimum order of 10 pieces (we recommend 50 or more). For Ramadan and new-year orders, contact us at least a month ahead.
6. Have they served organisations like yours?
Ask for client names in your sector and, if needed, references you can call.
Kaizen: more than 1,000 client companies, including the banking sector, ministries, universities, pharma and multinationals. See our clients page; reference contacts are available on request.
7. Can one supplier handle the whole project?
Events often need gifts, printed material, stands and a booth at the same time. One team keeps the branding consistent and the delivery on one schedule.
Kaizen: corporate gifts, digital and offset printing, display stands, exhibition booths and events from one team, with an exhibitions organising licence.
8. Can you see their real work?
Photos of real orders, with real client logos, tell you more than stock images.
Kaizen: 140+ projects in our portfolio, and new orders posted regularly on Facebook and Instagram at @kaizenadvertisingagency.
